| Hi
my name is Tina Richter & I am the owner of
Links & Loops. I started making jewelry years
ago but it was just a hobby and something to do
with my niece when she came to visit. Then I put
it away for awhile.
In November of 1993 my niece passed away in a terrible
auto accident. If you would like to see her memorial
webpage click
here. She left a bracelet I had made her for
her 8th grade graduation to her mom. One day my
sister called saying the bracelet needed to be repaired.
This was early 2001, she came to visit brought the
bracelet and I made the repairs needed. It felt
good working with the beads and made me want to
make more.
So in August of 2001 I went to Michaels Crafts
and bought some beads and some artistic wire. I
figured I would try making some earrings for my
friend and her daughters for Christmas that year.
With a few twists with an old pair of needle nose
pliers Links & Loops began. I made a few things
& I thought they were cute so I scanned them
into my computer & E-mailed them to an online
friend for input. Well she liked what she saw &
asked if I would be willing to sell her some as
Christmas gifts. Links and Loops was born.
In 2002 I registered my domain name & was open
to the world. Now I am proud to have a wonderful
friend that has joined me in my adventure. Jeanette
from GA has a site called PaTches
PaTch where she proudly displays her Clay designs.
I order a lot of her wonderful pendants & beads
to add to my designs. All of the Polymer clay items
you see in my site are designed by Jeanette.
